Colorado Marriage License Records Search Tips


If you want the perfect marriage certificate, Colorado has heirloom marriage certificates that are perfect for framing and putting in your living area. To apply for a marriage certificate you have to contact your local county clerk and recorder.

Things you may need when visiting the office:
• A photo I.D (perferably state photo I.D.)
• A second form of identifacation
• Any forms you may need to process your request
• You may have fees such as the fee for an heirloom copy of a marriage certificate is $50.00 or the $17 for your first copy

In Person – The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s office location is the same as their mailing address.
(Their office is open to the public Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. though same-day services are only available until 4:30 p.m.)
